This is a reminder to Tsawout Housing clients that it's time for the annual renewal of Tenancy agreements. Please bring in verification of income (2 consecutive pay stubs, Social Assistance pay stubs, T4's from taxes and a letter signed and dated by your employer). By doing so, rent will be established at 25% of your household income. If you do not bring in an Income Verification your rent will be set at the Lower End of Market (LEM). This amount is set by CMHC who provides funding for our houses. It is based on the lowest amount of what is charged in the regular housing market for houses of a similar size. LEM is usually higher than 25% of your income and you will owe that amount per month if arrears accumulate. Please set a date to renew your tenancy agreement BEFORE April 30th, 2011.
