Tsawout Public Works department is responsible for the planning, design, financing, construction, maintenance and emergency response pertaining to:- Public buildings
- Roads, bridges, and related infrastructure
- Work place and construction site safety
- Water distribution
- Waste water treatment and disposal
- Community electrification and energy management
- Fire protection & suppression
Public works may also include in some instances the regulation and construction of private dwellings through building and fire codes.
