December Activities for Head Start Program

Tabita Marks will be away for training on December 3 – 5th and Haley Morris will be covering for the Head Start Programs during the week. 

The Panorama Swim will be on Wednesday, Dec. 5th & 12th from 10:30 am – 11:30 am. Parents must be ready for a ride by 10:15 am. 

Head Start Play Group, with Rachel Greene Enkel from the Victoria Native Friendship Centre, will be meeting parents on Thursday, December 6th for an activity with the children to help celebrate Christmas. We meet 10:30 am – 12:00 pm for a  light lunch.

 “QWEM QWEM SE LI SET – Strong Families” will be celebrating with a turkey luncheon for the families who attended the workshops on Friday, December 7th. Michelle Anderson, from NIL/TU,O will be presenting certificates for the successful candidates who completed and recognize those who attended. The last topic will be: Self Esteem & Self Concept and working on the moccasin project.

Christmas Craft Projects will be offered on December 10th, 11th. Parents will meet in the Head Start classroom from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm. There will be supplies to make Teddy Bear Christmas ornaments, chocolate no-bake cookies, tarts, & Christmas cards. We will listen to Christmas CD’s and sip hot apple cider! Everyone is welcome!

Trinity Time will be celebrating with a Christmas luncheon on December 13th from 10:30 am – 1:30 pm. There will be Christmas crafts offered from the youngest to the oldest!  Santa Clause will be stopping in for an early Christmas visit with the children. Everyone is welcome!  Haley & Tabita will provide transportation, please call their office at (250) 652-1149 ext. 333.
 
Trinity Time Christmas Toy Sale will be on Saturday, December 22nd from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. There will be crafts for the children to work on, Christmas treats, and a light lunch. The address for the hall is: 1319 Mills Road.

The Head Start program will be closed on December 17th – 21st and re-open January 7, 2013. We wish you a blessed Christmas & joyous New Year!
