GALS Group Begins Wednesday February 6th!

What is GALS? GALS stands for Gals Are Like Stars.  It is an eight-week program for young women to come and learn from guest speakers, talk about your own experiences, and connect with other young women in the community.  Throughout the eight weeks, you will be creating a book to take home with you - every week we will be working with a different theme, and you will create a new page to add to the book.

Who can come? This 8-week block is for young women in the community from ages 15-19.  (There will be another one in the future for the younger women.)

Who will be leading the group? The nursing and social work practicum students (Tara, Cody, Melina and Erinn) are taking the lead to organize, with the help of Tabita, Sarah, Sandra and Glenda.  If you'd like to meet us (the students) and hear more about the program we will be in the lobby of the band office from 3:30 to 4:30 on January the 30th.  We would love to meet you!

Where is it? The Old Council Chambers

When is it? Starting February 6th, every Wednesday from 3:30 pm - 4:45 pm, ending April 10th.  (We will not meet during Spring break.)

Why should I come?  Need a little more motivation?  There will be snacks and gift cards for the young women who attend!
