What is a Meal Bag?

A meal bag is not only a shortcut to a fast and easy snack, but a great icebreaker for teaching about topics related to food, nutrition and cooking.

Each meal bag contains a recipe and most of the ingredients required to make the dish. Pre-measured ingredients and canned foods make these recipes fast and easy to prepare.

This is an introduction to a cooking class that will incorporate the Meal Bag Program that is being offered through our Health Department and Head Start Program. There will be an organized field trip to learn how to budget, shop, store bulk food, freeze meals, and much more!

There will be two classes each month, one in the day and one in the evening. A sign up sheet will be at the front desk for interested participants. You must sign up ahead to guarantee your space and meal bag order.
