Tsawout First Nation Sewer Use Law

The following document outlines:

A LAW TO REGULATE THE DISCHARGE OF WASTE INTO SEWERS CONNECTED TO A SEWAGE FACILITY OPERATED BY THE TSAWOUT FIRST NATION

WHEREAS:

A. The Council deems it advisable, necessary, expedient and in the best interests of the Tsawout First Nation and all residents and occupiers of Tsawout First Nation Lands to establish a Law regulating the discharge of waste into sewers connected to a sewage facility operated by the Tsawout First Nation.

A. Pursuant to the Tsawout First Nation Land Code, the Council has the authority to make Laws respecting the development, conservation, protection, management, use and possession of First Nation Land, including Laws in respect of management of local and public works and the regulation of sanitary services.
