Christmas Hamper Information

E-mail Print PDF

Thanks to Dawn-Lee Ricard, Intake workder at Victoria Native Fiendship Center for this information regarding Christmas Hampers.

All these places are now accepting applications for Christmas hampers. Please see the attached information below:

This year, they are all asking for community to go down and apply in person, with ID for all the family members (and bring the same ID back in when they return to pick up their hamper). None of the applications are online or being sent to community organizations. So VNFC will not be handling any of the applications. They are all working together keeping track of names, to ensure there is no double-dipping, so as many households as possible that need a hamper will get a hamper.

FYI, while the Times Colonist is not doing Christmas hampers this year, they have given their Christmas Hamper funds to the Mustard Seed. Usually the Mustard Seed does 600 hampers each year, but this year they are doing 1,000, each with a turkey, because of the additional funds from the Times Colonist.

As updates come in, they will be added to the list and resent!
